Tucked away on the east side of Okanagan Lake, just north of the City of Penticton is the captivating Benchland known as Naramata.The main road winds its way
along Okanagan Lake past farms and orchards that give the area an old English Countryside appeal. Perhaps its this charm that has resulted in a high concentration
of wineries. What ever it is, Naramata is Nirvana for the Day Tripper. It is here you will find 13 wineries, all located within a short drive of each other.
Depart from the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre 15:45, 16:45 or 17:45 and then tour Red Rooster and Lake Breeze Estate wineries with lunch at the award
winning Hillside winery. Return to the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre approximately 19:30, 20:30 or 21:30.
Trip includes deluxe transportation,professional wine guide,tour and tasting at 3 wineries with a dinner at Hillside.
Kumsheen River Rafting
Depart from the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre 8:30 am and arrive at Kumsheen river rafting "drop off" spot at 11:30 am
for the mandatory safety talk. Enjoy a riverside buffet lunch until 12:30 pm and then you are on the
river at Bighorn to Lytton BC for power rafting to Kumsheen Resort until 4:00 pm, where you will depart
for Penticton Trade & Convention Centre 4:30 pm and will return approximately at 8:00 pm.
Featuring over 20 rapids including the famous "Devil's Gorge"
This action-packed run splashes through,raft-jolting waves that leave you wet and breathless.
Hang on and scream in the big water of devils gorge.
What to Pack?
Start by packing your spirit of adventure! Then add a bathing suit, shorts, T-shirt, hat,
a plastic bag for wet clothing, running shoes, aqua socks or river sandals (bare feet or thongs
are not safe on the river), and secure glasses straps (we have several options available in our retail store.)
On cool days add a wool, fleece, or polypropylene top, long pants (no cotton pants or jeans, as they make
you feel colder!), wool or polypropylene socks, and rain gear. Finally, bring along a towel and a complete
set of dry clothes (including shoes) for after your trip. No rain gear? No problem. Long, custom designed raincoats will be provided at the rafting put-in.

Kettle Valley Railway
The bus departs the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre at 9:30 am and will return approximately at 1:30 pm.
The Kettle Valley Steam Railway offers a unique 2 hour journey on one of British Columbia's few remaining fully operational steam railways. Passengers enjoy a tour along a preserved ten-kilometre section of the original Kettle Valley Railway constructed between 1910 and 1915. The locomotive, a 1924 Shay steam engine, pulls two 1950's passenger coaches and the Kettle and McCulloch Kars (open air).

Cathedral Lakes Tour
Depart the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre at 9:00 am
to the Cathedral Lakes base camp. Tour ride to top of Mountain, boxed lunch,
tour guide, hiking tour guide. Children are required to occupy a
seat. Good hiking boots or walking shoes are a must and please dress in layers for the weather

Desert Heritage & Grist Mill Tour
Depart the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre at 9:30 am south
to Osoyoos Desert Centre for a guided tour.
Canada's only Desert tucked away into the Southernmost corner of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
Next the tour takes you to the small city of Keremeos to tour the Historic Grist Mill.
Built in 1877, The Grist Mill is the last working Pioneer flour mill in Western Canada. Lots to see and do!
The tour then returns to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre at approximately 3 pm

Summerland Agriculture ~ Fish Hatchery / Research
Centre Tour
Depart the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre at 10 am
to Summerland Trout Hatchery for a guided tour, British Columbia's oldest continuously
running fish hatchery which was established in 1928.
The tour then continues to Summerland's Ornamental Gardens,
Agriculture Canada began the garden in 1916 covering over 16 acres, featuring plants from Begonias to Japanese
Maples. With breathtaking views of Trout Creek Canyon & Giant's Head Mountain, this is a very scenic tour of
the region. The tour then returns to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre approximately 3 pm

Warden Skills
Register your team of 6 for the Warden Skills competition. The first
event will be held prior to Friday’s warden games and will
be used to cut the number of teams competing on Friday, to 30.

Description: An evening get together to discuss ideas and topics
